Esmailbeigi’s career development project boosts job outcomes for students

Hananeh Esmailbeigi

Richard and Loan Hill Department of Biomedical Engineering Clinical Associate Professor Hananeh Esmailbeigi received funding from an NIH grant to increase participation in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM), spark creativity, and lead to innovation beyond imagination.

Esmailbeigi’s project focuses on developing industry connections for biomedical engineering students. Through the funding, she will help students establish industry connections and learn about the various jobs that exist  for them after graduation. To achieve these goals, Esmailbeigi is hosting a career development and industry engagement seminar series, workshops, company visits, study abroad trips, and mentorships.

The program highlights opportunities available for biomedical engineers at various companies and builds connections between students and the community, with the aim of helping students find jobs and internship placements.
