Zhinan Wang receives student-voted Silver Circle Award for Excellence in Teaching

Richard and Loan Hill Department of Biomedical Engineering Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies Zhinan Wang recently received the Silver Circle Award for Excellence in Teaching.
The award honors faculty members for their excellence in teaching undergraduate courses. Winners are chosen based on nominations and votes from members of the UIC senior class.
“I’m honored to receive this award,” Wang said. “Knowing that this recognition comes solely from our graduating seniors makes teaching deeply rewarding. I’m grateful to be part of a community that values mentorship, innovation, and inclusive excellence in engineering education.”
Wang added that he is donating the award’s cash prize to support senior students as they travel to present their research and design work.
He will be recognized at the College of Engineering commencement in May.
