SUMMARY:2/26 - Joshua G. A. Cashaback, University of Delaware
DESCRIPTION:Watch this webinar live with Zoom>> Title: Shifting Neural Control Policies in an Uncertain World Abstract: An important goal of my research program is examining how the sensorimotor system both learns and controls movements in the presence of uncertainty. Such uncertainty can arise from our body or environment. In this talk, I will first discuss how the sensorimotor system shifts to a robust feedback control strategy to accommodate environment uncertainty. Second, I will discuss how both our data and model support the idea that the sensorimotor system relies on natural movement variability and recent reinforcement feedback when adapting behaviour. The talk will conclude by highlighting common threads across the presented work. | Event post: https://bme.uic.edu/events?page_id=5926
